Shifts can be set up as fixed or flexible.
A fixed shift has a defined start and end. For example, a shift that starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM.
A flexible shift does not have a defined start and end time, but instead there is a defined duration of the shift length. For example, a shift that is 10 hours but can be started at any time.
